When visiting the French River, make your first stop the French River Visitor's Centre – where your experience of the French will begin to be amazing. This unique Visitor’s Centre presents "Voices of the River" through creative exhibits telling the fascinating story of the French River. Weave your way through time as you experience the life of early Aboriginal people and then walk in the footsteps of explorers, missionaries and voyageurs. You can take a trail to scenic Recollet Falls and see spectacular views over the French River Gorge from the suspension bridge.

Once you’ve been introduced to the French, you may want to learn about traditional fishing methods, paddle to a Pow-Wow,  visit an Aboriginal artisan marketplace and cruise the route of the Voyageurs.
